Administrative license suspension (ALS) is an automatic side effect of a DUI arrest in Prince William County, Virginia. If you are arrested for DUI and have a blood alcohol concentration of .08% or greater, your license will be automatically suspended for 7 days (for a first offense.) A second DUI offense or second refusal of a breath test will result in your license being suspended for 60 days, or until the date of your trial, whichever is first. A third DUI or third breath test refusal will result in the suspension of your license until your trial. A DUI conviction in Prince William County will also cause your license to be suspended or revoked.
